Speakers:Jennifer Burns, C.P.N.P. attended Loyola University where she received her B.S. in Nursing and a graduate degree in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She is affiliated with Loyola as a clinical faculty member for the nursing program as well as at Truman College undergraduate nursing program. Jen is a certified nurse practitioner in primary care and serves as the founder and Director of the Pediatric and Family Travel Clinic at the University of Chicago, Comer Children’s Hospital. Jennifer serves as an on-call nurse practitioner for the University of Chicago Hospital Infectious Disease Department and antibiotic stewardship. Additionally, Ms. Burns is the Clinical Manager at the Health4Chicago Vaccination Outreach Program. She is a member of the speaker’s bureau at the Illinois Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics, Immunization Initiative, speaking at statewide immunization education seminars. Additionally, Ms. Burns provides clinical care at the Friend Family Health Center in Chicago. Tonya Chaffee, M.D., M.P.H. is Clinical Professor, Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at University of California, San Francisco and Medical Director of Child/Adolescent Sexual Abuse Resource Center and Director of Teen Services at San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Chaffee attended Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, completed a residency program at University of California, San Francisco where she was chief resident and received postgraduate training in Pediatrics at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Chaffee is board certified in the areas of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Chaffee has been published in various scientific journals, including Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Chaffee is also a Member of Society for Adolescent Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Laurene Mascola, M.D. is Chief of the Acute Communicable Disease Control Program at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Dr. Mascola attended the St. Louis University Medical School and completed a residency program at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Mascola also received postgraduate training in Pediatrics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is board certified in Pediatrics. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Todd Wolynn, M.D. is President, CEO and Co-Founder of Kids Plus Pediatrics in Pittsburgh, PA. He serves as the Medical Director of Atlantic Health Partners (National Vaccine Purchase Program) and has conducted clinical research in vaccines. Dr. Wolynn attended The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency program at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. He holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Wolynn is board certified in Pediatrics and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
